What do these three things have to do with each other? EVERYTHING! As a twelve year veteran as a public school teacher, I propose we look at how politics and religion continue to shape our dismal education system.
Presently, I am on sabbatical from teaching so to write a book on how to save education in America. Just saying that sounds so "dry" and uninteresting. But what could be more important than the very system (education), which must rely on another (politics) yet is completely stunted by the last (religion), and shapes our everyday activities and even that eventual pursuit of happiness?
In the coming days I will blog more about my thoughts on how these tie together. I certainly welcome all who have ideas to share. I ask that all keep their thoughts clean and relatively non- combative.
